More Than Meets the Eye (Mark 4:20)
/The UV or ultraviolet camera is an interesting device that can highlight precancerous skin conditions. In this series of photographs, produced by the American Academy of Dermatology, the UV camera documents a striking progression of sun damage with patients of varying and advancing ages.

What is surprising to the subjects and observers is the amount of damage that is apparently hidden, only to be revealed by this different wavelengths of light. Patients may get a wake-up call as to the importance of remaining vigilant over their amount of sun exposure and to take the necessary precautions. Makeup may cover the blemishes but the UV camera reveals the truth. There is far more damage than meets the eye!
What if there were a way to reveal the behaviors that we are now doing that may lead to serious problems and sins later in our lives? If we could identify them early, would we stop or modify these behaviors?
For there is nothing hidden which will not be revealed, nor has anything been kept secret but that it should come to light.
Mark 4:20
God knows everything about us. No excuses, shifting of blame, or misdirection will ever cover or remove the sins in our life. Like the UV camera, all of our hidden faults are laid open and bared before Him. So what hope do we have? If we have placed our trust in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, we will have the Holy Spirit indwelling within us. Our hidden behaviors and glossed over sins come to light by His convictions in our conscience. And by God’s infinite grace and mercy, He forgives us of our sins, when we confess them to Him, and He transforms our lives to become more like Jesus Christ. Only a loving God would do this! He made the effort to bring us into a right relationship with Him through His Son, Jesus Christ.
Love and respect the Lord; seek His will in your life.
