"God Wants to Bless Your Socks Off!" (Psalms 37:4)
/When I lived in Hawaii, I attended a church pastored by an effervescent servant of God. He always had a smile on his face and his messages continually focused upon the grace, love, and mercy of God. Not infrequently, he would survey the congregation and, with a twinkle in his eye, exclaim,
“God wants to bless your socks off!”
Indeed! I loved his unabashed enthusiasm about receiving God’s blessings. His life was a testimony to God’s mercy and grace, restoring him after alcoholism and a broken marriage wrecked his life. He lived every moment in gratitude to God for what He did for him. “Count your blessings” was the way of life for this brother!
Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.
Psalms 37:4 (ESV)
How does one delight in the Lord? Live a life in continual gratitude for what He has done for you! Don’t have this joy? If Jesus Christ is your Lord and Savior, pray to Him that the Holy Spirit will empower you with His peace and joy that surpasses all understanding.
God want to bless your socks off! All you have to do is trust and obey Him!
Love and trust the Lord; seek His will in your life.
