Science-Lots of How but Little Why (Romans 1:20)
/Science Fairs are a tremendous learning experience. From stating a hypothesis, researching a worthy topic, organizing the materials and methods, collecting and analyzing the data, and forming a conclusion-the entire process teaches one the importance of having a clear vision of the hypothesis and how can one answer it, either proving or disproving it.
A perusal of any Science Fair project yields a plethora of intriguing hypotheses and proposed answers. With varying degrees of success, the students present their data that either support or disprove their hypothesis. The How? and What? are addressed in these projects. But there is a deeper, even more profound question-Why? Why does the world function the way it does? Why is there order in such complexity?
For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse,
Romans 1:20
God has provided the answer. All of Creation’s complexity, the intricacy, the wonder, the glory, all point to an intelligent design by a Supreme Creator. Man may propose explanations to describe his surrounding environment, but only God provides the answer to why it exists. God created the world to reflect and magnify His glory. And the more we investigate, the more we will understand this. God created the world so that we can exalt and worship Him!
